(Sidney) A Fremont County man faces multiple charges following a pursuit that ended in a crash on Sunday.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Lane Harris of Sidney faces charges for Eluding-Speed 25 over the limit, Possession of a Controlled substance-2nd or Subsequent Offense, possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Fictitious License, and OWI-1ST Offense. Additionally, authorities cited Harris for numerous traffic violations.
Deputies attempted to stop a Dodge Charger driven by Harris, traveling 112 miles per hour on Highway 275. Harris failed to stop. During the pursuit heading into Sidney city limits, Harris lost control of the Charger and crashed into a fence at the Sidney Elementary School.
Authorities released Harris on Monday on a $500.00 cash bond.
