(Dickinson County, IA) — Less than one half of one percent of Iowa is now completely without drought, while the rest of the state continues to see issues. In the latest report from the U.S. Drought Monitor, parts of Dickinson and Osceola Counties in northwest Iowa showed little or no drought. Abnormally dry to moderate drought conditions persist across central Iowa. Meanwhile, areas of Wapello, Davis and other southeastern Iowa counties and several in western Iowa have continued to see extreme drought.
