(Fort Dodge) The Atlantic Softball team split on Friday’s opening day of the Fort Dodge softball tournament. The Trojans lost to Class 5A #4 Muscatine, 10-0, followed by a 7-6 win over Fort Dodge, St. Edmond.
Atlantic Head Coach Terry Hinzmann says the Trojans schedule tough weekend tournaments and face ranked teams in their respective classes.
The Trojans continue to battle for the Hawkeye Ten Conference Championship, one game behind league-leading Creston.
Atlantic opens next week with a doubleheader at home against Glenwood.
