(Atlantic) The Atlantic Trojan wrestling team is hosting the inaugural Friday Night Lights Wrestling Edition on Friday, June 16, at the Trojan Bowl in Atlantic. The first matches start at 7:30 p.m.
Atlantic Head Wrestling Coach Tim Duff says the teams competing include; Atlantic, Creston, Council Bluffs, Abraham Lincoln, Lewis Central, Shenandoah, and Winterset.
The football field will be blanketed with three mats, so all six teams will compete simultaneously.
Speaking of the other sports, Coach Duff thanks the Atlantic athletes and coaches for all their hard work and effort this summer.
Coach Duff hopes for a great turnout, a good experience, and a lot of fun.
There is no admission to attend. A free-will donation bucket will be available, with the proceeds going to the Atlantic Little Kids Wrestling Program.
