(Council Bluffs) A Camping World Employee was injured when a pickup slammed into the store on Monday morning in Council Bluffs.
Council Bluffs Police said the accident happened at 11:13 a.m. at 2802 South 21st Street. According to the press release, when officers arrived, a 2023 Ford F-150 Supercrew had vaulted over the parking stall in front of the building and penetrated about ½ the pickup length into the structure, striking a worker sitting at a desk.
A private vehicle transported the employee to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The elderly driver of the vehicle was unharmed.
The building sustained damage to the nonstructural support metal studs. The Collison opened a 12×12′ hole to the side of the facility, and glass partition offices inside the building were also damaged.
The case is still under investigation at this time.
