(Des Moines) Smoke from Canadian wildfires is expected to be an issue for Iowans with health issues, but also for healthy people this morning. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources Air Quality Bureau recommends reducing prolonged, heavy exertion when outside and taking more breaks than normal. Cleaner air is expected by this afternoon. Intermittent, patchy smoke will be possible this weekend.
