(Atlantic) Rolling Hills Bank & Trust donated $2,000 to the Atlantic Parks and Recreation Department to purchase fruit trees for the City Parks.
BJ Hart said the idea for the donation followed an Ambassadors visit at the Parks and Recreation Office a couple of weeks ago.
The Parks and Recreation Department purchased 26 fruit trees. Apple, Pear and Cherry Trees will be planted throughout the parks to provide free food for the public to enjoy.
The first tree went into the ground at the Parks and Recreation Office this morning.
