(Adams Co) Two people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Adams County.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office says Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 34 and Dogwood Avenue at 8:50 p.m. on April 28th. Upon a probable cause search of the vehicle, Deputies were able to locate approximately ten pounds of marijuana and two pounds of synthetic marijuana.
Abby Marie Read, 20, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, Intent to Deliver Less Than 50kg (Marijuana), Intent to Deliver Synthetic Marijuana, Speeding and a headlight violation.
Kaleb Anthony Davis, 21, of Clarinda, a passenger, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, Intent to Deliver Less Than 50kg (Marijuana), and Intent to Deliver Synthetic Marijuana.
Read and Davis were booked into the Adams County Jail and held on $13,300 cash only bond each.
In other activity, the Sheriff’s Office arrested Jose Ivan Hernandez, of Lenox, on May 3rd on an active warrant for Failure to Appear from an original charge of Child Endangerment. Hernandez was booked into the Adams County Jail and later released after posting a $1,000 cash only bond.
Marlene Trevino, 22, of Lenox, was arrested May 2nd on an active warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Child Endangerment. Trevino was booked into the Adams County Jail on $5,000 cash only bond.
Mildred Douglas, 33, of Red Oak, was arrested on April 30th on a mittimus warrant. Douglas was held in the Adams County Jail to serve a jail sentence.
