(Atlantic) Atlantic School Board President Laura McLean says the board will discuss its plans for hiring a new superintendent during a special meeting on Friday morning.
“I know a lot of people are hoping we as a board can say here is our plan on hiring a new superintendent, but I am not going to say that because we do not know what that is just yet,” said McLean. “The board will discuss this and provide the public with regular updates as soon as possible. I appreciate people’s interest.”
The special meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Achievement Center. Meanwhile, the school board accepted Steve Barbers’ resignation at Wednesday’s meeting. The resignation agreement can be viewed by clicking the bold link posted below.
