(Red Oak) A Red Oak woman was arrested following an assault this (Wednesday) morning.
The Red Oak Police Department says 30-year-old Amanda Joy Williams was charged with Aggravated Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon and Theft 4th degree.
Red Oak Police were called to the 500 block of Washington Avenue for a report that someone had been assaulted. Officers found that the victim and Williams started to argue and Williams took the victim’s firearm and they began to fight over it. Williams struck the victim a couple of times and fled from the residence with the firearm. Officers were initially unable to locate Williams until someone in the 500 block of W Coolbaugh Street called and stated she was on their front porch.
Williams, who still had the firearm in her possession, was taken into custody. She was held in the Montgomery County Jail on $2,000 cash bond.
