(Missouri Valley) Three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Harrison County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 3:08 p.m. on Sunday on 335th Street and Mounds Trail. Authorities identified the injured persons as 62-year-old Steven Geerdes of Missouri Valley, 64-year-old Thomas Janecek, and 61-year-old Angela Janacek, both from Omaha, Nebraska.
According to the report, Steven Geerdes driving a 2004 Pontiac Sedan northbound on 335th Street, crossed the centerline at the intersection and collided head-on with a southbound 1966 Chevrolet Coup driven by Thomas Janacek.
Air ambulance transported Thomas and Angela Janacek to Omaha Trauma Centers for treatment of critical injuries. Missouri Valley Rescue transported Geerdes to Bergan Mercy Hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol says charges are pending against Geerdes pending chemical test results.
