(Adair Co) Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Adair County Sunday afternoon.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office says 70-year-old Judy Sammons, of Orient, was transported to the Adair County Memorial Hospital with complaint of neck pain and some cuts and scrapes. 55-year-old Laura Baker, of West Des Moines, was transported to the Greater Regional Hospital with head, neck and abdominal pain. Two passengers, 17-year-old Braden Baker and 19-year-old Brielle Baker, both of West Des Moines, were transported to the Greater Regional Hospital with complaint of pain.
According to the report, Judy Sammons was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram westbound at the intersection of Henry A.Wallace Road and 300th Street, sitting at the stop sign. A semi truck came from the south on Henry A. Wallace Road and turned west onto 300th Street. Sammons did not see Laura Baker, who was driving a 2016 Honda Odyssey, heading northbound behind the semi. Sammons proceeded to continue westbound across Henry A Wallace Road. The Odyssey collided with the Ram. Both vehicles suffered major disabling damage and were towed away from the scene.
