(Atlantic) The property tax deadline has come and gone, and many property owners should be aware of several property tax credits that can be applied for.
Cass Country Assessor Mary Anstey says one of those is the Homestead Property tax credit and property tax credits.
There are also military exemptions for those who have served in the military. There is a family farm credit for people who own farm ground and are actively engaged in farming. There is also the elderly tax credit.
Anstey says the tax credit forms can be picked up at the Assessors Office, open 8:00 to 4:30, Monday through Friday, search for the forms on the Assessors website or have them mailed directly to your home.
