(Area) The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory for seven counties in western Iowa today from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Friday. Those counties under the Advisory are Monona, Harrison, Pottawattamie, Mills, Fremont, Montgomery, and Page. Southerly winds of 25-35 miles per hour and gusts as high as 50 miles per hour are forecast for this area. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, resulting in power outages. Use extra caution when driving, mainly if operating a high-profile vehicle.
