(Atlantic) Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken provided the Board of Supervisors with an update on activity in the past week.
Much of the work has involved putting rock on the rural roadways. “We’ve been doing some contract rock down in the Griswold area this last week in anticipation of the Highway 92 bridge closing. We’ve done some rocking around the anticipated detours. We’ve rocked about 15 miles down in the Griswold area last week. Quite a bit of the stockpile at Lyman is gone and we are working on the G43 stockpile.”
Wolken says the Rolling Hills Wind Farm project is wrapping up. “Trying to get finalized. We mostly talked about the gravel roads in the area. They took over approximately 68 miles of road and we are requesting some additional rock. Trying to get that rock either done by them or paying us to do it. They are basically moving out of the project.”
Wolken reports progress is continuing on Bridge 32. Bridge 380 by the Anita Sale Barn will likely be delayed until sometime in April.
