(Audubon) Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics is proud to announce Physician Clinic Director Heather Toft has completed the recertification process to earn the title of Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional.
At the time Toft passed her exam she was one of just two in the state of Iowa to do so. “Heather does a fantastic job,” says Chief Operating Officer Paul Topliff. “A definite asset to Audubon County Memorial Hospital and this just shows her dedication not only the hospital, but to the community itself. She’s kind, compassionate, and makes health care a priority.”
Topliff says the new certification helps navigate rural healthcare. “The rules and regulations are changing all the time. It’s nice having someone who basically keeps up the education with that aspect of it.”
The Rural Health Clinic program is intended to increase access to primary care services for Medicaid and Medicare Patients in rural communities.
