(Atlantic) A resolution has been acted on by the Cass County Board of Supervisors in regards to Opioid Settlement funds.
A Memorandum of Understanding between the Cass County Board of Supervisors and Zion Recovery Services was approved on Tuesday morning. Supervisors Chairman Steve Baier says they began working on this last August. “As soon as we found out about the money we would be receiving and what the strings attached to that money was, certain amounts had to go to education, treatment, prevention, and those types of things, Zion already had programs in a lot of those areas and it just made sense that we would use their services and help fund those and they would provide accounting back to us that those funds were indeed being used to support those services.”
Also at their meeting on Tuesday, the updated Cass County Public Safety Commission Articles of Agreement was approved.
