(Corning) The Corning and Villisca School boards met in a joint session late last week. The two districts will be entering their tenth year of whole-grade sharing.
Schools Superintendent Chris Fenster says the boards walked through the agreement and discussed what reorganization would look like. Fenster says it’s best to stay with the Whole Grade Sharing agreement financially.
Fenster says staff shortages or a significant enrollment decrease would cause the district to consider reorganization.
No action was taken following the discussion, and the two districts will continue the same path, with only a few minor changes to the sharing and activities agreement.
