(Ringgold Co) Two people died and one other was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Ringgold County Wednesday evening.
The Iowa State Patrol says 54-year-old David Patrick Love, of Mount Ayr, was driving a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 southbound on 170th Avenue, approaching 110th Street. 44-year-old Donna Kay Allen, of Afton, was driving a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 northbound in the same location. Both trucks were traveling in or close to the center of the road, not yielding half the roadway. Both vehicles were traveling up a hill and could not see the other coming and they struck each other on the front left corner.
Love and Allen both died in the accident. 46-year-old Shawn William Allen, of Afton, was transported to Mercy Hospital by Mercy Helicopter.
