(Des Moines) Highs could reach 60-degrees today, but colder weather is in store for Thursday.
Jeff Zogg, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Des Moines, said temperatures on Thursday will start off warmer with chances of rain and then a cold front will sweep across the state switching that rain over to some light snow.
Zogg said if you plan to travel Thursday afternoon or evening make sure you have a winter safety kit in your car, especially if you are going north or west.
