(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council Wednesday evening approved a resolution establishing a job description for an Animal Shelter Assistant, Opening a Position and Setting Compensation for FY 2023.
Code Enforcement Officer Kris Erickson currently divides her time between the Animal Shelter and Code Enforcement. She has requested a part-time assistant for the shelter. This will make her almost 100-percent focused on code enforcement.

The position will pay $15 per hour.
The Council then approved a resolution updating compensation for the Wastewater Superintendent for FY 2023. John Lund said Wastewater Superintendent Tim Snyder is underpaid compared with similar plants and levels of complexity in the State.
A salary of $99,949 was proposed to align Snyder with his peers operating similar facilities with similar credentials.
