(Greenfield) Nodaway Valley Schools Superintendent Paul Croghan thanks the school district voters for supporting the ten-year Physical Plant and Equipment property tax levy; the measure not to exceed $1.34 per one thousand dollars of the assessed valuation of taxable property within the district passed with 64.7 percent of the district voters supporting the measure.
Mr. Croghan says the impact on property taxes may be less than $1.34, possibly as low as .49 to .50 cents per one thousand dollars of property valuation.
Croghan says there are a lot of variables when it comes to school improvement projects, for example, the current bidding environment, equipment availability, etc.
Going by the current assessments, the funds from the PPEL would generate about $450,000 annually.
