(Adair Co) A Bridgewater woman was arrested on two Adair County warrants with a total of ten charges of Animal Neglect with Serious Injury or Death. The Adair County Sheriff’s Office says 57-year-old Michelle Renee Evans was arrested on January 16th. She was held on $20,000 cash only bond.
In other news, the Stuart Police Department arrested 59-year-old Todd Lavern Lauridsen, of Ames, on January 15th for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. An officer stopped to check on a vehicle parked on the side of the road on Adair Madison Avenue. While speaking with Lauridsen, the officer noticed a clear zip loc baggie with the bottom half torn sitting in plain view. When Lauridsen was asked to exit the vehicle, the officer noticed a crystalline substance that appeared to be dumped out on the passenger seat and passenger floor board. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. A probable cause search was conducted. Lauridsen was held in the Adair County Jail on $10,000 cash or surety bond.
