(Atlantic) Cass County Public Health has added a new staff member within the past month to help with the Pacific Islander population in the Atlantic. The new hire is Killy Duliche, a Pacific Islander who has lived in the Atlantic for over 20 years.
Cass County Public Health Director Beth Olsen says Duliche will be working with Public Health specifically to help improve the health of the roughly 300 Pacific Islander residents living in Atlantic.
Olsen says Duliche will be working with Public for the following year. The American Heart Association and Americorp partnered for this position in rural communities nationwide, and the American Heart Association pays her salary.
