(Atlantic) Portions of Southwest Iowa are under either a Winter Storm Warning or a Winter Weather Advisory today through Thursday morning. The most significant snowfall amounts are now forecast for northwest Iowa.
Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Kennon says there is some uncertainty along the southern edge of the snow due to the potential of a wintry mix or rain.
‘Kennon says what has changed is the snowfall amount. The heavy snow has been shifted further north.
Kennon notes the area is expected to receive two or more inches of snow overnight. He says to check out the 511ia website, or if you need help, don’t hesitate to 9-1-1.
Cass, Pottawattamie, Shelby, Audubon, and Guthrie Counties are under a Winter Storm Warning until 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Adair, Mills, Montgomery, Fremont, and Page Counties are in a Winter Weather Advisory.
