(Atlantic) The Atlantic Fire Department was called to a house fire at 601 E. 6th Street at 4:59 p.m. Friday.
Atlantic Fire Chief Tom Cappel said upon arriving to the scene they had a working house fire with flames coming out of the south side of the house and the windows on the east and west sides of the home.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital.
Cappel thanks the Atlantic Police Department, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, State Fire Marshall, and the Lewis and Marne Fire Departments for their help.
Cappel said nobody was in the home when they arrived.
Again, the fire remains under investigation.
