(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board, approved the Architect/Engineer contract for $15,000 with Snyder and Associates to complete the scope of work outlined in the proposal for a new high school storage shed.
Atlantic School’s Superintendent Steve Barber explained this was tabled at last month’s meeting. The School Board requested additional information regarding the Industrial Tech Program, and if this would be a project for them.
Barber says they toured all of the buildings to observe storage spaces. Although the High School has multiple areas, it is not a sizeable centralized space. He says these consist of smaller spaces.
A lot of room is used for the graduation ceremony stage and chairs, which take up a lot of space inside the building. He says having a storage space for these would free up space inside the building for other storage needs. Another oversized item is the district’s music equipment, which cannot be stored in the hallway.
The proposed storage shed would be approximately 35×50.
