Bidding phase of AHSTW School Building Project coming to an end

(Avoca) Bids for the AHSTW School Building Project are due Friday, January 13^th at 1:00 p.m.

Superintendent Darin Jones said the bidding process began in December.

Bids will be opened at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, January 13^th.

Jones said if all goes well, they hope that construction can begin on the outside portion of the building by the middle of March.

This project is all part of a $12.9 million bond issue approved by voters to fund improvements to the existing K-12 facilities along with building an addition on the west side of the building that will add a new wood and metal shop, family and consumer science classroom, business classroom and high school music room.
