(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning held their reorganizational meeting.
The Board re-elected Steve Baier as Chairman of the Board and Mark O’Brien Vice Chairman. The Supervisors will continue to meet every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. The board will no longer hold a meeting on the last business day of the month. Auditor Kathy Somers said this was requested by several individuals.
In other action, the Supervisors set the mileage rate reimbursement at 50-cents per mile for employees and the federal rate, which is currently 65.5-cents per mile, for the Sheriff’s Office. The Medical Examiner Fee was set as the same as last year and the official county newspapers will stay the same as well.
