(Greenfield) Jayne Lents of the Adair Compensation Board appeared in front of the Adair County Board of Supervisors this (Tuesday) morning to present the board’s elected officials’ salary recommendation.
Lents says the compensation board recommends for the fiscal year 2024 is a 9.5-percent salary increase for all elected officials and a wage adjustment increase to be applied post salary for the County Attorney for $7,500.00. Lents says the figures presented gives the Board of Supervisors something to work with.
Supervisor Jodie Hoadley says the County Attorney’s position has been more time-consuming and more work on the table.
The Adair County Board of Supervisors will review the Department Heads’ budgets, see where the compensation board’s salary recommendation fits, and do what they can with it.
