(Griswold) Stanton never trailed in a 63-42 boys basketball victory over the Griswold Tigers on Tuesday night. The Vikings posted 23 2nd quarter points to build a big halftime lead.
Kywin Tibben notched 14 points and Nolan Grebin scored 13. Evan Gettler and Joshua Martin each posted 11. Grebin also contributed seven rebounds and six assists. Martin added 13 rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Brody Gibbs scored 9. Stanton led 13-8 after the 1st quarter and opened things up with a 23-10 2nd frame. The Vikings built the lead to as many as 25 points in the 3rd quarter.
Griswold was led by Aiden Kennedy’s 13 points. Kamron Brownlee contributed 12. Stanton moves to 2-1 on the season while Griswold is 0-3.
