(Audubon) The Audubon School Board approved the settlement with Denovo.
Superintendent Eric Trager said this has to do with the General Contractor who failed to show up for the renovation project.
Trager said the good news is that by March 1st they will be back on schedule and ready to move forward and get the project finished over the summer of 2023.
In other news, the School Board approved the Flexibility Fund Resolution to Expend Funds. Trager explained that they have the ability through the State Legislature to use some of their categorical funds and put them in a flexibility fund if they are not being used for their legislative purpose and then those funds can be used for any general fund purpose.
Trager also noted their certified enrollment is down 13 students and their served enrollment is down 10 students from last year and that difference is due to open enrollment.
