Child Dies After September Crash In Polk County

(Polk County, IA)  —  A 10-year-old girl has died after a head-on crash last month in Polk County.   The Sheriff’s Office says the girl was in a vehicle that collided with a second vehicle September 24th near NE 108th and Highway 163.   The girl was one of two children hurt in the crash.  The man who was driving suffered a partially severed leg.  The other driver had non-life threatening injuries.   Names are not being released.
