(Coon Rapids) Coon Rapids-Bayard will try to snap a two game slide when they face CAM on Friday.
The Crusaders started district play with a bang, having defeated both Boyer Valley and Woodbine by comfortable margins, but the last two weeks against West Harrison and Audubon haven’t turned out as well. “We are just beating ourselves. When we watch film we are missing blocks and missing tackles. Against the top end teams in our district you can’t have those mistakes. It shows on the final score.”
Coach Chris Mohr’s team is still very much alive in the playoff race. “We have to take care of business Friday night and next Friday night and hope for a three way tie and see how the points shake out.”
Coach Mohr is complimentary of CAM. “They are pretty impressive on film. They fly to the ball really well and have good team speed. We’ll have our hands full Friday night.
Lance Clayburg missed most of the Audubon contest last week. In Clayburg’s absence, Omarian Floyd stepped up and ran for 104 yards on 15 carries with one TD.
