(Greenfield) Adair County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is pleased to announce Terrin Gettler of Fontanelle is this year’s recipient of its $1,000 scholarship.
The scholarship, which is awarded each year to a student in a health-related field, was presented to Gettler this summer.
Gettler, who graduated from Nodaway Valley High School in 2022, attends Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs where she is majoring in nursing. Gettler plans to a nursing degree and serve as a nurse exempt paramedic.
After her Nodaway Valley school to work program experience with Adair County Health System, Gettler began working at ACHS as a patient care technician.
“The things I love most about my job at ACHS are being able to learn something new every day from the nurses and paramedics in the emergency room, and help out where I can. My co-workers are always willing to make sure I understand things and continue to grow,” said Gettler.
“I am honored to receive this scholarship and grateful to the Auxiliary. I’m also thankful to my family, who has helped inspire me down this career path.”
“We are pleased to award this year’s scholarship to Terrin. She is a wonderful young adult, and we know she be a great nurse,” said Carol Woosley, president of the Auxiliary.
