A Mass of Christian Burial for 95-year-old Cal McCurdy of Bridgewater will be held on Wednesday, September 7, at 10:30 a.m., at the St. Timothy’s Catholic Church Reno, south of Cumberland, with burial at the St. Timothy’s Catholic Cemetery. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by the Williamson American Legion Post No. 719. Father Phillip Bempong will officiate the service.
Open visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Massena. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made out to the Cal McCurdy Memorial fund to be established by the family later. Cal McCurdy is survived by his four children, Linda Reinke (Don) of Massena, Mike (Sandy) McCurdy of Bridgewater, Jerry McCurdy of Cumberland, and Karen (Kevin) Bower of Polk City, Iowa. Ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sister, Majorie, of Adair, Missouri; and other relatives and friends. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.lambfuneralhomes.com.
