(Greenfield) The Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Cody Levi Redman of Lamoni on a felony warrant.
Deputies arrested Redman in Fontanelle on August 23 on the McPherson County Kansas warrant for rape and indecent liberties with a child between 14 and 16 years old. Authorities transported Redman to the Adair County Jail and held him on a $100,000 bond.
A Creston man faces charges following a pursuit in Adair County on August 23. According to the report, 34-year-old Corry Donald Johnston of Creston is charged with; eluding a Union County warrant for evading, driving while barred, and possessing a controlled substance, 2nd offense. An Adair County Deputy attempted to pull over a 1988 Honda motorcycle driven by Johnston near Greenfield for traveling at speeds over 100 miles per hour. Johnston fled to Interstate 80, then south towards Greenfield, then Orient, before colliding with an Iowa State Patrol Cruiser. Authorities transported Johnston to the Adair County Jail and held him on a $3,300 bond.
Also, in the report, Deputies arrested 44-year-old Clinton Lewis Casteel, Jr., of Stuart, on August 22, on a warrant out of Adair County for a controlled substance violation, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. Authorities transported him to the Adair County Jail and held him on a $25,000 cash bond.
In a separate case, on Friday, deputies arrested a Woodbury County man on an Adair County warrant for violating probation. Authorities transported 28-year-old Hunter Davis Vanwyk of Sioux City to the Adair County Jail and held him on a $5,000 bond.
Additionally, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of 22-year-old Koy Alan Brandt of Greenfield for OWI/2nd offense and released a citation.
