(Creston) Creston Police report two incidents and two arrests over the weekend.
*On Friday, Amanda Marie Nelson reported that someone had stolen her vehicle. Nelson last saw her red 2005 Ford on Friday between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Authorities later located the car in the county with interior damage and missing license plates. The loss is estimated at $2000.
*On Saturday, David Allen Moffitt reported that someone took 12 bags, or 240 cans, in the back of his truck while parked in his backyard. The loss is estimated at $144.00.
*On Saturday, Creston Police arrested 22-year-old Christian Garcia-Vasquez and charged him with Violation of a No Contact/Protection Order. Authorities transported Garcia-Vazquez to the Union County Jail and released him on his recognizance.
*On Sunday, Police arrested 41-year-old David Junior Richman of Creston at his residence on a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Additionally, Richman carries two Polk County warrants for a Probation Violation on an original charge of Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and Domestic Abuse Assault. Officers transported Richman to the Union County Jail and held him on no bond while awaiting extradition to the Polk County Jail.
