(Dallas County) Two people suffered injuries in a crash in Dallas County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 7:26 a.m. on Friday on eastbound Interstate 80 near the 109-mile marker. Authorities identified the injured occupants as 74-year-old Teddy Anderson of Webster City and 62-year-old Jeffrey Munch of Exira.
State Police reported that three vehicles were stopped in the eastbound lanes due to an accident blocking the roadway when an eastbound 2005 Silverado pickup driven by Munch failed to stop and rear-ended a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, driven by 74-year-old Rick Willadsen of Earlham, sideswiped a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 37-year-old Tara Erickson of Greenfield and struck the left rear of another vehicle.
Earlham EMS transported Teddy Anderson to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Dallas County EMS transferred Jeffrey Munch to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
The accident is under investigation.
