(Atlantic) Cass County Rabbitt Superintendent Justin Retallic says the Rabbit Stall raffle will allow for a few new tables at the Cass County Fair next year.
Retallic says the raffle raised just shy of $2,000.00.“The goal was to raise enough money to pay for the two new tables, and we appreciate the support of the businesses, individuals, and the public for purchasing the raffle tickets,” said Retallic.
The current wooden stalls have seen their better days after numerous remodels, protruding nails, and hard-to-clean surfaces. Retallic says the new design features a metal frame with a tray at the bottom for easier cleaning during the fair, safer handling, and storage. However, the issue is cost. Each unit brings with it about a $1,000.00 price tag. Retallic is reaching out to the high school ag departments as a possible school project, which could lower the cost of production.
