(Guthrie Co.) Guthrie County Public Health Director Jotham Arber told the Board of Supervisors this morning that he is hosting a webinar on Wednesday for all of their medical providers on monkeypox.
Arber said they are watching it, but at the same token the population demographic that monkeypox is impacting right now is not a huge demographic in Guthrie County.
Arber said will be providing education and they will make sure they have the vaccine available if they start seeing outbreaks. He said it is not recommended that you go get vaccinated for monkeypox unless you have been exposed to someone who has had it because most people have some sort of resilience to small pox because it has been eradicated.
