(Red Oak) Earlier this week, the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors appointed Jill Ozuna as county auditor.
Ozuna says many different reasons attracted her to apply for the appointment.
Jill Ozuna was born in Omaha and grew up in Prescott, Iowa. She graduated from Omaha Central High School and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Ozuna owned her own hairstyling business for 17 years and worked in booking and financials on the side. She then worked in the insurance and finance industry. She moved to Texas and stumbled upon a business doing property preservation for a government contract. The company grew, and they began training other vendors in Houston, Corpus Christy, and San Antonio.
Ozuna and her family currently reside in Red Oak. Ozuna will fill the role up to the November election and file papers to run for a term as the County Auditor.
