(Cass Co) Jotham Arber, with Cass/Guthrie County Environmental Health, gave a quarterly report to the Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning.
Arber said they got an additional $20,000 in the grants to counties funding for this next fiscal year for Cass County.
Arber said they don’t always get all of that money spent because some of it is tied specifically to people doing wells and filling cisterns and so if they don’t have enough folks that want to do that then they can’t spend the money on anything else.
Arber said in November they are hoping to hear about the septic system grants for the entire area he covers so they get people applying for that.
Arber said he is also working on tanning and tattoo ordinances for the four counties he covers. He is working with each of the Boards of Health and once that is finalized it will be brought to the Supervisors. The ordinance will need to be in place by 2023.
