(Atlantic) The Atlantic School District is changing its COVID mitigation strategy for the 2022-2023 school year.
Atlantic Schools Superintendent Steve Barber appearing on 95.7 F.M.’s Trojan Talk radio program, said last year the district continued to mitigate ten quarantine days for people testing positive for COVID. Barber says this year’s mitigation strategy is going to change.
Barber says this year, students and staff with COVID will be symptom-free out of school for five days and encourage the infected individual to wear a mask upon returning to school for five days.
Persons testing positive for COVID will be notified by the Atlantic School District’s registered nurse, Laura Freund.
