Update: Rains Delay Opening Bridge Projects in Atlantic, and Highway 6 Near Lewis

(Atlantic) Due to the rain; the bridges on Highway 83 (2nd Street), and Highway 6 near Lewis will not open today. Pavement painting is all that is left, and the rain prevented crews from painting the lines and opening the roads to traffic.

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation Creston Construction Office, crews will try again to paint the lines on Monday.
