(Audubon) The Audubon School Board Thursday evening approved plans, specifications and form of contract for a new General Contractor for the renovation project.
Superintendent Eric Trager explained that they had a General Contractor that failed to perform, so they had to rebid that portion of the project.
Trager said the low bid came from Grand Contracting out of Red Oak in the amount of $4,681,400.
Trager said the good news is they have a new General Contractor and they are ready to go to work. They expect to see them on site next week.
The other issue becomes the school schedule. Trager said they are going to meet next week to figure out a best case and worst case scenario in terms of scheduling. As of right now, they plan to start school on time on the 23rd of August.
