(Griswold) Griswold Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs says the Governor recently signed legislation providing school safety funds for eligible schools.
Shared Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs admits the details remain sketchy; he does know that every eligible school could receive a $50,000 grant.
Henrichs says the district will complete the survey and use the results to determine how to use the grant money.
At Monday’s School Board meeting, Dave Henrichs reported Griswold is one of two schools applying for the teacher apprenticeship grant. He says one is from the Rural Iowa Advocacy Group, and the other group consists of around 22 schools from southwest Iowa.
The district is looking to fill a Language Arts Positions at the High School and Middle School, one Elementary Classroom teacher, several coaching positions, and a custodian.
