(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors today approved new hires for the Treasurer’s Office.
Following the loss of several employees in the Treasurer’s Office, Treasurer Tracey Marshall asked the Supervisors to approve three new employees.
The Supervisors approved hiring the individuals at $18 per hour; their pay will move to $19 per hour following a 90-day review and then go to $20 per hour after six months.
Due to the shortage of staff, the Treasurer’s Office reduced their hours. Board Chairman Steve Baier asked Marshall how long she was anticipating having to run abbreviated service hours.
Stacy Mueller, who started working in the Treasurer’s Office in early May, said having the office closed has helped her with her training.
The Board also asked Tracey if there is an opportunity to bring in people with knowledge from other counties to help out and she said she is working on that. Marshall said she would like to be open as much as she possibly can, but for now she will keep the public updated on what their office hours are.
