(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning discussed American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding requests.
Cass County Supervisor Steve Green said one of the things brought to his attention is some people would like to see some ARPA funding go to a county-wide animal shelter.
After some discussion, the board agreed to look into it further.
The Supervisors also received an ARPA funding request from the Anita Volunteer Fire Department for a stair chair pro at $5,000 and two Lifepak 15 heart monitor/defibrillators at $30,000. The Supervisors tabled action on the request until they get an official presentation from the Anita Volunteer Fire Department to gather more information.
In other news, the Supervisors and County Engineer discussed a bill that was submitted to the County Engineer by Chad Becker. Becker submitted a bill to be compensated for the work he did to remove his fence as well as an ‘inconvenience fee’ during a grading project on Victoria Road on the County line with Adair County. The Supervisors took no action to pay the bill at this time.
