(Dawson) One person died, and two others suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Dallas County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 9:22 p.m. on Saturday on Highway 141 and Highway P46 south of Dawson. Authorities say 69-year old Donald Charles Motz Jr. of Perry died in the crash, and 73-year old Donna Weishaar Motz, of Perry and 26-year old Kristopher Dean Beller of Linden, suffered injuries in the accident.
According to the report, Bellar was driving a 2017 Chevy Silverado pickup southbound on P46. He entered the controlled intersection for unknown reasons and collided with a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Donald Motz Jr., traveling eastbound on Highway 141.
Lifeflight Helicopter transported Donna Motz to the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Dallas County Rescue transported Kristopher Beller to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
The accident is still under investigation.
